Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra has directed that the "Vietnam Cultural Day" event in 2026 should be organised solemnly, practically, substantively, and impactfully. This day is designed to become a national cultural brand.

Accordingly, 2026 is the first year of implementing the “Vietnam Culture Day" for the 2026 - 2030 period. Activities regarding this day must clearly showcase Vietnamese cultural identity while reflecting the spirit of innovation, creativity, and integration, as well as the aspiration for national development.

In particular, the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism will collaborate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Vietnamese representative agencies abroad to organize the "Vietnamese Culture Day" in suitable locations, linking the event with cultural diplomacy, external information, and the promotion of Vietnam’s images and people to the international community.

According to Vietnamplus, cultural heritage and unique cultural values of the nation should be deeply embedded in social life and transformed into Vietnamese cultural products with broad appeal and value, which can be promoted in both domestic and international markets.

Each province and city should select at least one outstanding and distinctive local cultural activity, product or space to introduce and popularise during the occasion in conjunction with local tourism promotion and demand-stimulation activities.
