Da Nang, Yeongam expand cooperation in tourism, culture and media
DNO - A group of representatives from the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Da Nang Newspaper and Radio, Television, on Wednesday, paid a courtesy visit to Mr. Jeon Go-pil, Director General of the Yeongam Culture and Tourism Foundation, in Yeongam County, Jeollanam-do Province, the Republic of Korea.

During the meeting, Mr. Jeon Go-pil shared Yeongam’s experience in developing content rooted in local identity, connecting destinations, and using promotional tools to advertise the county’s images through traditional media and digital platforms.
In reply, Ms. Nguyen Thu Phuong, Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, outlined Da Nang’s strategic direction for the 2026 - 2030 period.
She also emphasized that Da Nang has focused on increasing visitor numbers and repositioning its image through cultural stories, content products and a network of international partners.

The two sides also discussed the possibility of implementing joint projects in culture, photo exhibitions, exchange events and destination communications.
They also considered expanding cooperation among the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Yeongam County government and the Yeongam Culture and Tourism Foundation based on the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) already signed.
In particular, the Da Nang Newspaper and Radio, Television will coordinate the production of cultural and tourism content about Yeongam County. This will contribute to exchanges and cooperation in this field between South Korea and Vietnam in accordance with the MOU signed by the two organizations.

Later that afternoon, the delegation held a working session with leaders of Mokpo MBC.
The two sides exchanged experiences regarding collaboration among media outlets, culture and tourism agencies, and relevant organizations in creating promotional content.
Also, discussion focused on opportunities to connect, share resources, and coordinate media efforts to promote the images of Da Nang and Korean localities.
Particular attention was given to the potential for media cooperation, as well as the production and dissemination of cultural and tourism content for the medium and long term during the 2027 - 2030 period.
