Tropical depression brings heavy rain in Da Nang
DNO - According to Vietnam's National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting (NCHMF), on the morning of September 12, the center of the tropical depression was located approximately 150km southwest of the Hoang Sa (southeastern edge of the Quang Tri-Quang Ngai coastal waters), with maximum sustained winds of level 6, gusts of level 8, and moving northwest at a speed of about 10 km/h.

By 7:00 a.m. on September 13, the center of the tropical depression is forecast to be right over the sea off Hue-Da Nang, about 110km east-northeast of Da Nang, with maximum sustained winds at level 6 and gusts reaching level 8.
Over the next 24 hours, the danger zones at sea will include the western part of the Hoang Sa Special Zone and the waters extending from Quang Tri to Quang Ngai.
The tropical depression continues its track northwestward, then shifts to a west-northwesterly direction at a speed of approximately 10 km/h, heading toward landfall.
By 7:00 a.m. on September 14, the center of the tropical depression will be located over the coastal mainland between Ha Tinh and Quang Tri, packing maximum winds at level 6 with gusts up to level 8; it will be subsequently weakened into a low-pressure area.

Due to the tropical depression, the waters west of the Hoang Sa and the coastal waters stretching from Ha Tinh to Quang Ngai are experiencing strong winds at level 6 with gusts up to level 8, along with rough seas and waves ranging from 2 to 4 meters in height.
Vessels operating in these hazardous maritime zones mentioned above face the risk of thunderstorms, whirlwinds, strong winds, and high waves.
