“Global Eyes on Da Nang” photo contest opens
DNO - “Global Eyes on Da Nang” photography contest was officially launched on September 10 at the APEC Park, inviting Vietnamese and international photographers to capture the city through their own lenses and share their unique stories with the world.

Delivering a speech at the launch ceremony, Vice Chairwoman of the Da Nang People’s Committee Nguyen Thi Anh Thi described Da Nang as a young, dynamic, modern and welcoming city, where cultural values, heritage and nature come together to create a distinctive quality of life.
As the city continues to expand its international connections, cultural exchange and people-to-people diplomacy have become an important part of its development.
The contest offers an opportunity for international communities to see and tell the story of Da Nang from their own perspectives.

The organisers are inviting foreign residents, diplomatic missions, international organisations, media agencies, professional and amateur photographers, as well as visitors who have experienced the city to take part in the contest.
Rather than simply capturing famous landmarks, participants are encouraged to look for the moments that reveal the character of Da Nang, from its natural landscapes and cultural heritage to the rhythm of everyday life, encounters between different cultures and the city’s changing urban identity.

Entries will focus on four themes: “Da Nang - A Destination of Heritage and Nature”; “The Rhythm of the City”; “Cultural Exchange - Imprints of International Integration” and “Da Nang - A Livable City through a New Perspective”.
A photograph can reveal a new side of a familiar place and convey emotions that words cannot easily express. Through these images, the contest hopes to present a fresh, authentic and inspiring portrait of Da Nang to audiences around the world.
Outstanding photographs will be selected for exhibition and inclusion in a photo book titled “Da Nang - Telling the World,” creating a lasting visual record of how the city is experienced by people from different backgrounds.

Open to Vietnamese and foreign citizens of all ages, the contest welcomes professional and amateur photographers, journalists, international visitors, overseas Vietnamese and foreigners living, studying or working in Vietnam.
The contest runs from August 28 to the end of November 2026.
For anyone who has ever been moved by Da Nang’s landscapes, people or everyday moments, this is a chance to turn that experience into a story, and let the world see the city through your eyes.
