FDI inflow in Da Nang surges
DNO - According to the statistics from Da Nang City, this locality recorded a significant increase in registered investment capital last month in particular and in the first eight months of 2026 in general.

Regarding foreign direct investment (FDI), newly registered capital accounted for the majority of the total and served as a driver for Da Nang’s overall economic growth.
In particular, FDI inflow in the city in August 2026, including newly licensed capital, adjusted capital, and capital contribution or share purchase agreement, reached US$279 million, a 24.8-fold increase compared to the same period last year.
The city granted licenses to 11 new projects, an 8.3% decrease in number. However, the total registered capital reached nearly US$239 million, a 327-fold year-on-year increase.
There were five projects with capital adjustments, totaling US$41 million. Capital contribution and share purchase activities involved six transactions, with a total value of US$0.1 million.
Da Nang received US$682 million in registered FDI in the first eight months of 2026, an increase of 186.6% year-over-year.
They included 100 new projects with a combined registered capital of US$522 million, representing a 258.2% increase in capital and a 29.9% increase in the number of projects. 38 projects totaling US$142 million were capital adjustments, an increase of 11.8% year-over-year. The remaining amount was made up of share purchases and capital contributions.
