Connecting beyond courts

As part of the Heineken Pickleball World Cup 2026, some areas dedicated to social interaction and side activities at the Tien Son Sports Arena in Hoa Cuong Ward has been buzzing with excitement over the past few days.

In particular, World Market has been running throughout the tournament, with numerous booths arranged in an open-air space.

More than a display area, World Market is designed as a space for interaction, experiences and connections among athletes, spectators and visitors to Da Nang.

Accordingly, participants can take part in sports games to win attractive prizes, shop for pickleball equipment and apparel, and take souvenir photos to spread the spirit of the tournament.

Visiting Da Nang for the second time to watch an international-scale pickleball tournament and experience activities at World Market, Mr. Nguyen Tan Duc from Hai Phong said the lively activities have helped spread the energy and sporting spirit of the tournament.

“At World Market, I have taken some memorable photos and found products I like to support my passion for pickleball”, he added.

Alongside the booths, Heineken, the tournament’s title sponsor, has created a unique experience space featuring interactive activities combining technology, sports and music.

These activities help create a festival atmosphere and foster new connections among international friends.

Notably, the Heineken Pickleball World Cup exhibition gives spectators an opportunity to learn more about pickleball and the tournament, as well ass view a replica of the championship trophy and tournament memorabilia.

At the Heineken Fun Zone, visitors can try their hand at games simulating a pickleball court in singles and doubles formats.

According to the tournament’s organizing committee, the diverse range of activities expands the experience for participants from sport to culture, tourism, shopping and entertainment.

As a result, athletes and spectators come to Da Nang not only to watch exciting pickleball matches, but also to connect with others and enjoy the city.

Thrilling competitions

In addition to the side activities, the tournament continues to deliver exciting matchups.

Matches will continue through September 6 at the Tien Son Sports Arena and the Tuyen Son, Trang Hoang, FitFun, Papi, Truong Son and Hop Thanh Phat court clusters.

September 6 will mark the climax of the tournament, with finals in various categories, the closing ceremony and, notably, the Open team final scheduled for 6:00 pm when the first champion of the national category is expected to be crowned.

Mr. Tao Viet Hai, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Deputy Head of the tournament’s organizing committee, said activities promise to remain vibrant over the final two days. They take the Heineken Pickleball World Cup beyond the competition courts, thereby creating opportunities for athletes, fans, visitors and the local community to participate together.

“This is what Da Nang aims to achieve by hosting the tournament: turning an international sporting event into a meeting point for sports, culture, tourism, the community and the events economy” he emphasized.
