Da Nang launches “Digital Trust” Club

DNO - The Da Nang Department of Public Security held a meeting on Thursday with 60 Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and social media administrators operating in the city.

At the event, representatives from the Da Nang Department of Public Security and the municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism shared important information on responsible social media use.

Discussions focused on current legal regulations, skills for identifying and combating fake news and AI-generated misinformation, as well as the role of KOLs and social media administrators in promoting, preserving and developing the city’s culture and tourism.

Participants also discussed opportunities and challenges in digital-platform communications, and shared effective practices and practical experience.

These efforts contributed to raising awareness of social media users' responsibilities and foster a positive, accurate, and humane information environment.

The event also provided a platform for meeting, connection and dialogue between state management agencies and members of the community who directly create, disseminate and influence information in the online environment.

On the occasion, the Da Nang Department of Public Security launched the “Da Nang Digital Trust” Club.

Accordingly, the club will serve as a bridge between state management agencies and the social media community.

In the coming period, it will concentrate on promoting the dissemination of official and positive information as well as raising awareness of users' responsibilities when posting, sharing and commenting online.

At the same time, the club will also proactively contribute to efforts to combat and refute false, harmful and negative information, working toward a safe, healthy and civilized online environment.
