Da Nang strengthens cooperation with European partners in five strategic areas
DNO - The Da Nang People's Committee has just approved a plan to promote and strengthen cooperation with European localities and partners for the 2026 - 2030 period.
The plan aims to deepen cooperation between Da Nang and its European partners, with science and technology, innovation, digital transformation and green transformation serving as key driving forces.
Specifically, the city targets to concretize 100% of its valid international agreements by the end of 2027.
By 2030, Da Nang plans to establish new cooperative relations with at least five European localities and organizations, as well as increase foreign direct investment (FDI) from Europe by at least 50% compared with the 2021 - 2025 period.
The city will also seek to implement at least five technical assistance or aid projects from European partners.
Additionally, the city will organize at least two large-scale investment and cooperation promotion activities each year, either in Europe or in Da Nang.
During the 2026 - 2030 period, Da Nang will focus on promoting cooperation in five strategic areas: science, technology, innovation, artificial intelligence (AI) and the semiconductor industry; investment, trade and logistics, along with the development of the Free Trade Zone and Da Nang International Financial Centre; green transformation, circular economy, renewable energy and the development of the marine economy; education and training of high-quality human resources and specialized healthcare; and culture, sustainable tourism, heritage conservation and people-to-people exchanges.
