Opening of the “Hai Van Awakening the Great Wilderness” Tourism Week 2026
DNO - The People's Committee of Hai Van Ward (Da Nang City), in collaboration with the tourist site Leaf Village & Farm - Làng Lá, held the opening ceremony for the "Hai Van Awakening the Great Wilderness" Tourism Week 2026. In attendance at the opening ceremony was Vice Chairwoman of the municipal People's Committee, Nguyen Thi Anh Thi.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of Hai Van Ward, Hoang Thanh Hoa, noted that the "Hai Van Awakening the Great Wilderness" Tourism Week 2026 is to celebrate the 81st anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of Vietnam (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2026).
This tourism week, therefore, creates significant cultural, economic, and social value to support the cultural preservation and promotion of the Co Tu ethnic people in Da Nang City.
The event also establishes a vibrant and meaningful space for cultural exchange. It contributes to awakening pride and raising awareness of community responsibility regarding the preservation and promotion of the intangible cultural values of the country's ethnic groups.
The “Hai Van Awakening the Great Wilderness” Tourism Week 2026 is designed to showcase the Hai Van land's potential, strengths, and image, linking local culture with tourism development. It will gradually create distinctive cultural and eco-tourism experiences that attract visitors while fostering connections among local businesses, service providers, households, and producers of local products.
The event, thereby, contributes to boosting tourism, trade, and services while promoting signature and OCOP (One Commune, One Product) products. This will create employment opportunities and improve local residents' incomes, making significant contributions to the socio-economic development of Hai Van Ward.
The “Hai Van Awakening the Great Wilderness” Tourism Week 2026 takes place from August 28 to September 2, 2026. It includes a series of attractive activities, such as "Independence Market," showcasing OCOP products, agricultural produce, local specialties, and local traditional cuisine.
Coming to the event, visitors have chances to enjoy hands-on experiences such as making traditional cakes, painting, weaving brocade, wearing Co Tu traditional costumes, singing Bai Choi, and making to he (a craft toy for children).
Additionally, the event features cultural exchange performances organized by Hai Van Ward and the communes of Tra Leng, Tay Giang, and Tra Tap, in collaboration with other participating units.
