Da Nang to promote Ngoc Linh ginseng and medicinal herbs on August 28-29
DNO - The event, under the theme “The Ngoc Linh Ginseng - National Treasure Journey: Connecting Experiential Spaces for Ngoc Linh Ginseng and Da Nang Medicinal Herbs”, will be held opposite Son Tra Night Market in An Hai War
Running from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. on both days, the programme will feature around 50 booths across 600m2, showcasing Ngoc Linh ginseng, medicinal herbs and processed herbal products while promoting market connections.
The booths will be grouped into dedicated areas showcasing Ngoc Linh ginseng and ginseng-based products, medicinal herbs and processed products, along with spaces for demonstrations and hands-on experiences.
A highlight will be an experiential space connecting local products with indigenous culture and community activities. Visitors can enjoy gong performances and “xoang” circle dances by ethnic communities from mountainous areas, recreating the distinctive cultural atmosphere of the Ngoc Linh ginseng-growing region.
Street music performances by young bands and independent artists will add a lively atmosphere and encourage interaction among residents and visitors. Traditional folk games will also offer opportunities for cultural exchange and hands-on experiences while promoting local cultural values.
Beyond showcasing and promoting products, the programme aims to create a space connecting Ngoc Linh ginseng and medicinal herbs with culture and tourism, thereby enhancing the value and brand recognition of Da Nang’s Ngoc Linh ginseng and medicinal herb products.
The event will also connect businesses and cooperatives with domestic and international distributors and partners, helping them expand markets, promote exports and strengthen production and digital trade-promotion capabilities.
It will further support the development of value chains covering the production, processing, trade and services of Ngoc Linh ginseng and medicinal herbs.
By combining exhibitions, experiential activities and market connections, the programme aims to enhance the profile of Ngoc Linh ginseng and Da Nang’s medicinal herbs, making the value of this “national treasure” more accessible to residents, visitors and partners at home and abroad.
