Travel trade shows put Da Nang on map of global tourism
DNO - Travel trade shows are emerging as a strategic tool for Da Nang to attract global tourism networks, accelerate innovation and strengthen its position as a leading destination in the region.

As Da Nang targets becoming a high-quality tourism and services hub and a leading green and creative destination by 2030, hosting international travel trade shows can deliver value far beyond the duration of each event.
They bring together tourism professionals, investors, technology providers and global partners, creating opportunities for knowledge exchange, business connections and long-term cooperation.
From tourism destination to global meeting point
Travel trade shows have become essential platforms for the international tourism industry.
Tour operators, airlines, hotels, technology companies and destination management organisations gather to explore new markets, build partnerships and identify emerging trends, from sustainable tourism and digital transformation to personalised travel experiences.
With modern infrastructure and an increasingly diverse tourism ecosystem, Da Nang is becoming an attractive destination for major international exhibitions, conferences and industry events.
The city strengthened its reputation as “the city of events” in 2025 by hosting a series of major events that attracted more than 10,000 participants, including tourism and technology experts, travel bloggers, KOLs and visitors from more than 30 countries.
As competition among MICE destinations intensifies, Da Nang is demonstrating its ability to provide the infrastructure, professional event management and integrated services required for international-scale gatherings.
“Travel trade shows have helped reinforce Da Nang’s vision of becoming a hub for international events and connections,” said Nguyen Duc Quynh, Chairman of the Da Nang Hotel Association and General Director of Furama Resort.
Each industry event creates new business relationships, in addition to providing a platform to exchange, test and implement innovative business models, technologies and service standards.

Where tourism meets technology and opportunity
After two editions, HORECFEX Vietnam 2026 returns to Da Nang for its third edition at the Ariyana Convention Centre Da Nang on August 20 - 21.
The event continues to connect professionals and businesses in hospitality, tourism, restaurants and F&B with technology companies, experts and solution providers. Its expanding scale reflects the changing nature of the tourism industry.
The exhibition will feature equipment valued at around US$2 million, alongside major technology names including Meta, Google and TikTok.
HORECFEX is, therefore, evolving beyond a hospitality-focused forum into a meeting point between tourism and global technology.
As evaluated by global experts, Da Nang has developed well-integrated infrastructure and strong professional capabilities to host large-scale events with a high level of industry expertise.
The city’s continued selection as the host of HORECFEX underlines its position as a leading convention and exhibition hub in Vietnam, while further strengthening its profile on the international MICE map.
Da Nang has identified high-quality tourism as one of six priority sectors and is targeting nearly 93,000 MICE visitors in 2026. Attracting this high-value segment, however, requires more than modern hotels, convention venues and attractive destinations.
The city also needs events capable of attract even more international businesses, experts and industry leaders, and giving them reasons to return.
If developed strategically and maintained over time, specialised travel trade shows could become an important pillar of Da Nang’s MICE ecosystem.
For Da Nang, the value of a travel trade show extends well beyond the exhibition floor. Each event can open doors to new markets, ideas, investment and international partnerships, helping the city build a more innovative, sustainable and globally connected tourism industry.
