The three-day festival aims to promote the area’s natural and cultural values while introducing Loc Yen’s growing range of green tourism experiences, attracting visitors, encourageing investment and contributing to building a sustainable local tourism ecosystem.

A celebration of culture, crafts and local life

The festival will officially open on the evening of August 29 with a special artistic programme highlighting the history, culture and people of Thanh Binh Commune, Da Nang. The opening night will conclude with a fireworks display.

Visitors will then be able to immerse themselves in a series of hands-on experiences. A creative festival featuring areca sheath handicrafts will showcase how a familiar agricultural material can be transformed into distinctive local products.

The “Loc Yen Countryside Market” will offer another window into rural life, while workshops will allow visitors to try their hand at making areca-sheath crafts, decorative agarwood products, banh xeo pancakes and traditional my la noodles.

The cultural programme will also take visitors into the centuries-old houses of Loc Yen Ancient Village, where they can experience traditional activities like Vietnamese calligraphy.

Food lovers can explore the local culinary scene through a Loc Yen food tour and a traditional cuisine competition featuring flavours rooted in the countryside.

From traditional experiences to slow travel

The festival also seeks to create a relaxed community atmosphere where visitors can slow down and connect with local life.

Acoustic performances and the “Sing for Each Other” programme will bring residents, visitors and music lovers together in an intimate rural setting.

Traditional games, including catching fish in a basin, breaking clay pots, blindfolded duck catching, tug-of-war and stick pushing, will add a playful touch to the festival.

Thanh Binh will also introduce new attractions designed for visitors seeking nature, creativity and wellness.

At Loc Yen Retreat, guests can try sketching on stone and wood, unwind in a quiet natural setting and enjoy herbal foot soaks.

Meanwhile, the fascinating Doi Cave offers another option for travellers interested in exploring the area's natural landscapes.

The Loc Yen Village Festival 2026 is highly expected to offer visitors an opportunity to experience a slower, more authentic side of Central Vietnam where rural traditions, creativity and sustainable tourism come together in one peaceful destination.
