Da Nang, Singapore expand cooperation in sustainable agriculture and innovation
DNO - The Da Nang Innovation Startup Support Center under the Department of Science and Technology, in collaboration with Singapore-based Bridgent, organized a seminar titled “Sustainable Agriculture and Innovation in Circular Economy” on Friday.

The event was part of the Bridgent Immersion Series (BIS), a program organized regularly by Bridgent to expand international connections. BIS 2026 is taking place in Da Nang from August 13 to 15.
Speaking at the seminar, Mr. Le Son Phong, Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Science and Technology, emphasized that science, technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship served as key drivers for the city's socio-economic development.
In recent years, Da Nang has been progressively building an innovation and startup ecosystem involving government agencies, universities, research institutes, enterprises, support organizations, investors, and the startup community.
He also informed that the city has placed special emphasis on expanding international connections. The purpose is to help innovative enterprises and projects access markets, technology, capital sources, and global partner networks.
He highlighted Singapore as a partner possessing significant strengths and experience that Da Nang wished to strengthen cooperation, particularly in education and training, investment, technology, digital transformation, green technology, and sustainable development.
Deputy Director Phong voiced his hope that the visit by the Singaporean delegation will lay the groundwork for concrete cooperative activities among universities, enterprises, investors, and innovation organizations from both sides in the near future.
Also at the seminar, representatives from the Da Nang Innovation Startup Support Center presented an overview of the city's innovation and startup ecosystem and the support policies for startup enterprises.

Representatives from the city's startup and green transition projects shared insights on low-carbon agriculture models, carbon credits, circular economy solutions and waste-to-resource technologies.
These areas are considered to hold strong potential for collaboration between organizations and businesses from both Da Nang and Singapore.
A representative from Bridgent stated that the working session provided a comprehensive overview of Da Nang’s startup and innovation ecosystem.
In the coming time, Bridgent will continue to act as a bridge to foster partnerships between international entities and Vietnamese businesses and research organizations.
