Volunteer activities of Da Nang youth in Laos
DNO - An international volunteer programme launched by the Da Nang City Youth Union (Da Nang City) arrived in Lakhonpheng District, Salavan Province (Laos), on Tuesday, providing free medical examinations and gifts to people in Laos.
During the programme, the team presented 200 gifts to people (each gift valued at 500,000 VND) and 50 gifts (consisting of school bags and supplies) to students in difficult circumstances in Lakhonpheng District.
In addition, the volunteer team's medical members provided free health check-ups and consultations as well as free medication to over 700 local residents. These practical activities help support Lao people while demonstrating the volunteer spirit of Da Nang youth.
The Da Nang City Youth Union’s international volunteer campaign in Laos, taking place from August 10 to 16 in the provinces of Salavan and Sekong, involves 40 volunteers, including Youth Union officials, doctors, nurses, and pharmacists.
Alongside social welfare activities, the team will donate equipment to support local Youth Union operations and organise cultural, artistic, and sports exchanges with local youth and residents in Laos.
