Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee Ho Quang Buu, along with representatives of municipal departments and agencies, attended the ceremony.

The launch concretizes the cooperation agreement between the Da Nang People’s Committee and Grab Vietnam on digital economy development, signed in September 2025.

The “OCOP - Da Nang Specialties” marketplace enables local producers and businesses to easily list their products in the “Smart Warehouse” on the Grab platform.

It provides comprehensive information about the products, allowing residents and tourists to conveniently explore and purchase them anytime and anywhere via mobile devices.

Speaking at the launch ceremony, Vice Chairman Ho Quang Buu stated that bringing OCOP products and Da Nang specialties onto the Grab platform was a concrete step toward realizing the city’s digital transformation goals and delivering practical benefits to residents and businesses.

He emphasized that technology should benefit not only large enterprises but also individual business households and small-scale vendors.

To ensure the effective operation of the “OCOP - Da Nang Specialties” marketplace, Vice Chairman Ho Quang Buu asked the Department of Science and Technology to closely monitor its implementation, promptly address difficulties and expand the model to other markets and commercial streets across the city.

He also asked municipal departments, agencies and local authorities to continue supporting OCOP producers and business households in standardizing their data and improving their digital business skills. The purpose is to enable them to use technology in a simple and effective manner.

He voiced his hope that Grab Vietnam will continue its long-term partnership with the city, ensuring stable system operations, providing timely technical support, and effectively implementing product promotion and marketing programs.

Mr. Buu called on small traders to embrace new business approaches. He stressed that digital transformation will not replace traditional markets but instead help them attract more customers, increase revenue and create new opportunities for growth.

In addition to launching the marketplace and the “Digital Transformation at Con Market” model, Grab Vietnam will coordinate with several municipal agencies to equip business households with digital skills in the coming period, aimed at strengthening product promotion and stimulating consumer demand on the platform.
