New 4,000-sq-metre wellness tourism venue opens in Da Nang
DNO – Cham Riverside Wellness & Onsen has officially opened in Hoa Xuan Ward, Da Nang, adding a new wellness tourism product to the city’s growing tourism offering.
Develope by the Cham Riverside Joint Stock Company, the complex is designed as a wellness destination combining health and wellness services, leisure and local cultural experiences.
Covering nearly 4,000 square metres, the veneu's concept draws on the balance between people and nature, combining contemporary wellness therapies with Asian-inspired relaxation practices.
The complex features a range of dedicated facilities, including a Japanese onsen, Korean jjimjilbang, themed sauna areas, spa and wellness facilities, a tea lounge, a healthy-eating restaurant, a meditation garden and cultural workshop spaces. It also includes a cinema and other areas for relaxation.
The opening comes as Da Nang continues to diversify its tourism products amid strong growth in visitor numbers.
Ms. Truong Thi Hong Hanh, the Director of the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said the city is attracting an increasing number of domestic and international visitors as its tourism offerings become more diverse.
In the first seven months of 2026, Da Nang recorded an estimated 12.1 million overnight visitors, up more than 24% from the same period in 2025.
International visitors accounted for more than 6 million, an increase of over 28%, while domestic visitors reached nearly 6.1 million, up more than 21%.
Revenue from accommodation, food and beverage services and travel activities was estimated at more than VND42 trillion ($1.6 billion) during the period, up more than 22% year on year.
As the city expands tourism connections and visitor demand becomes more diverse, local businesses are investing in new experiences beyond traditional sightseeing. Wellness and restorative tourism are among the emerging segments receiving greater attention.
The opening of Cham Riverside Wellness & Onsen is expected to broaden Da Nang’s range of wellness services and provide visitors with an additional option for relaxation and health-focused experiences.
Alongside wellness facilities, the complex incorporates cultural activities and leisure spaces, aiming to offer visitors opportunities to relax and experience elements of Asian wellness traditions in one venue.
The development comes as Da Nang seeks to diversify its tourism products and strengthen its position as a destination offering not only beaches and sightseeing, but also health, relaxation and lifestyle experiences.
