Chinese company proposes a wind power project in Da Nang
DNO - Deputy Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee Tran Nam Hung chaired a meeting on July 28 with Beijing Weineng Investment Co., Ltd. from China to discuss the company’s proposal to invest in a wind power project in Da Nang.

The company proposed that Da Nang approve the project’s planning and registration. It also asked the city to support the initial work and develop suitable policies in line with Vietnam’s incentives for new energy development.
These policies would focus particularly on electricity pricing, industrial infrastructure support, and services for foreign investors.
Concluding the meeting, Deputy Chairman Tran Nam Hung affirmed that Da Nang attaches great importance to investment by domestic and foreign businesses.
The city is committed to creating the most favourable conditions for investors in various sectors. Renewable energy development is among the city’s priorities as it seeks to ensure energy security.
He basically agreed with and supported the company’s proposal to explore investment in the wind power project in Da Nang.

Deputy Chairman Tran Nam Hung assigned the Da Nang Investment Promotion and Support Centre to coordinate with relevant departments and agencies to assist the investor in surveying suitable locations and, on that basis, advise the municipal People's Committee on the investment policy and procedures in accordance with regulations.
