Enjoy Da Nang Festival 2026 unveils new experiences
DNO - Enjoy Da Nang Festival 2026 is introducing interactive digital journeys, eco-tourism adventures and authentic cultural experiences that encourage visitors to stay longer and discover a different side of Da Nang beyond its famous coastline.
Running alongside the festival, the city is combining smart tourism technology with newly designed travel routes, reinforcing its ambition to become one of Asia's leading destinations for sustainable and experience-driven tourism.
Digital journey to explore Da Nang
One of the festival's newest attractions is the Digital Journey to Explore Da Nang, taking place from July 22-26. Through Da Nang's official tourism digital platforms, visitors complete 10 interactive challenges at festival venues, iconic landmarks and popular check-in locations across the city.
Participants who finish the journey receive attractive gifts while enjoying a more engaging way to experience the destination. The initiative also introduces Da Nang's smart digital tourism map at vr360.danangfantasticity.com, allowing travellers to personalize their itineraries according to individual interests.
At the interactive exhibition space, visitors can use Oculus virtual reality headsets to experience some of Da Nang's most celebrated attractions before visiting them in person.
Virtual tours include the Dragon Bridge's famous fire and water show, Ba Na Hills and local vibrant carnival celebrations. Adding a distinctive local identity is the red-shanked douc langur, the mascot of Da Nang's digital tourism map, highlighting the city's commitment to biodiversity conservation and green tourism.
The city will continue expanding its digital ecosystem by introducing an AI chatbot capable of providing 24/7 travel assistance through the tourism website, Messenger and other digital platforms, making destination information more accessible for both domestic and international travelers.
New tours to explore Da Nang
Running from June through August 2026, the new tourism lineup ranges from Da Nang Food Tours 2026 -Taste Da Nang and southern Da Nang discovery routes to the immersive "Touch the Original" journey and multi-day adventures linking Da Nang with Phu Ninh and Tak Po Peak.
The itineraries reflect a broader shift in the city's tourism strategy. Instead of simply encouraging visitors to tick off iconic landmarks, they invite them to slow down, engage with local communities and discover destinations rarely found on conventional travel maps.
Travellers can wander through the UNESCO-listed My Son Sanctuary, lose themselves in the lantern-lit streets of Hoi An Ancient Town, explore the lush forests of Son Tra Peninsula, trek toward Ngoc Linh Mountain, hunt clouds above Tak Po Peak, or walk beneath centuries-old po mu forests before joining colourful carnival celebrations.
Among the newest offerings, Discover Son Tra - Connecting with Nature stands out for placing conservation at the heart of the visitor experience. The programme allows travellers to explore Da Nang's protected forest ecosystem while gaining a deeper understanding of the peninsula's exceptional biodiversity.
By steering visitors toward nature-based attractions, the initiative also helps distribute tourism beyond the city's busiest coastal areas.
According to Tran Tan Dien, the Director of TaDi Travel, combining the festival programme with newly curated experience-led tours gives returning visitors compelling reasons to extend their stay.
Interest has grown particularly quickly in western and southern routes featuring Ngoc Linh ginseng gardens, Tak Po's cloud-hunting landscapes and ancient forests, prompting operators to launch regular weekly departures.
Equally appealing are the opportunities to step into everyday local life. Visitors can pull fishing nets alongside local fishermen at sunrise, learn about traditional ginseng cultivation or simply spend time with residents whose stories reveal a side of Da Nang that guidebooks rarely capture.
