Da Nang International Ngoc Linh Ginseng and Medicinal Herbs Festival 2026 slated for August 1 - 3
DNO - The Da Nang International Ngoc Linh Ginseng and Medicinal Herbs Festival 2026 will take place from August 1 to 3 at the APEC Sculpture Park and the Ngoc Linh ginseng and medicinal herb growing areas in Tra Linh, Nam Tra My, Tra Van, Ben Hien, Tra Leng, and Tra Tap.

Key highlights
Under the theme “Ngoc Linh Ginseng - The Essence of Global Medicinal Herbs”, the festival will feature a series of 10 diverse activities, harmoniously combining culture, science, investment promotion, trade, tourism, and hands-on experiences.
The event is expected to bring together around 60 booths showcasing Ngoc Linh ginseng along with other typical ginseng varieties and medicinal herbs from Vietnam and abroad.
Many products applied in pharmaceuticals, healthcare, food, cosmetics, and medicinal herb processing technology will also be displayed.
According to the organizers, the festival will begin with the second edition of the Ngoc Linh Ginseng Worship Ceremony and Ngoc Linh ginseng seedling donation program on July 31 at the Ngoc Linh Ginseng Temple in Kon Pin Village, Tra Linh Commune.
The opening ceremony will be held on the evening of August 1 in central Da Nang. The artistic program is expected to vividly recreate the story of Ngoc Linh ginseng, skillfully blending the cultural identity of the Ca Dong, Xe Dang, Bh’noong and Co Tu ethnic groups with contemporary music and spectacular stage effects.
As part of the festival, the “Ngoc Linh Ginseng Honor Day” on August 1 will feature a ginseng competition and an auction of award-winning ginseng plants.
Funds raised from the auction will be used for the conservation of ginseng-growing areas, community development and scholarships for students in mountainous areas.
Another special activity is the “Ngoc Linh Ginseng - Vietnamese Ginseng Day” program on August 3. Its aim is to honor and raise public awareness about the conservation and development of Vietnam’s precious ginseng species.
Additionally, the festival will offer a variety of engaging experiences for both residents and visitors. Included will be the “Flavors of the Great Forest” culinary space, check-in areas and artistic performances by both traditional and contemporary music groups.
Visitors will have the opportunity to directly visit ginseng-growing areas and the Ngoc Linh Ginseng Market, meet the “ginseng guardians”, and explore the culture and landscapes of the highland region.
Notably, experts, scientists, businesses and reputable organizations at both and abroad will gather at the International Scientific Conference on Ngoc Linh Ginseng and Medicinal Herbs, scheduled for August 2.
Furthermore, the Ngoc Linh Ginseng Golf Tournament, scheduled on the same day at the Da Nang Golf Course, will help strengthen tourism, trade and investment connections through the spirit of sportsmanship.

Paving the way for Ngoc Linh ginseng and medicinal herbs to reach further
According to the festival’s organizers, the unique feature of the festival is its connection between two spaces: central Da Nang and the Ngoc Linh ginseng-growing area, and three core values: conservation, development and experience.
The festival is not only intended to introduce a valuable medicinal product, but also to tell the comprehensive story of Ngoc Linh ginseng from the land where the ginseng grows and the communities preserving indigenous knowledge, to scientific research, processing, trade, investment and aspirations to reach international markets.
Through the festival, Da Nang aims to sustainably develop the medicinal herb industry ecosystem, as well as promote the formation of a value chain spanning raw material area development, research, technology transfer, deep processing and product commercialization.
At the same time, the festival is expected to greatly contribute to the development of health care and wellness tourism products associated with medicinal herbs and traditional medicine.
