National Startup Forum - Hoa Khanh 2026 officially opens

DNO - The National Startup Forum - Hoa Khanh 2026, themed “Startup Investment and Innovation through the Government - University - Business - International Partnership Model” officially opened in the city on Thursday.

The event was jointly organized by the People's Committee of Hoa Khanh Ward and the National Startup Association.

Speaking at the forum, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Ho Quang Buu emphasized that Da Nang is entering a new phase of development with the goal of double-digit economic growth and becoming a hub for innovation, high technology, finance, and logistics in the region.

To achieve that goal, he noted that science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, and the strong development of the business community, especially innovative startups, must become key drivers of the city’s economic growth.

Highly appreciating Hoa Khanh Ward for proactively organizing the forum, Vice Chairman Buu urged the locality to urgently develop a plan for the development of the startup, innovation, and digital transformation ecosystem during the 2026 - 2030 period with clear objectives and a specific roadmap.

With the determination of the local authorities and the support of the National Startup Association, universities, businesses, and the startup community, he expressed confidence that Hoa Khanh would emerge as a bright spot in innovation.

This, he believed, will significantly contribute to making Da Nang a startup center in the region, and realizing the goal of rapid and sustainable growth in the coming period.

Delivering his remarks at the event, Chairman of the Hoa Khanh Ward People's Committee Huynh Anh Vu highlighted the ward’s strengths.

Covering more than 40.93 square kilometers and home to over 125,000 residents, the ward has three major universities with tens of thousands of students, as well as three large industrial parks.

The ward is currently home to more than 3,100 enterprises and over 2,000 business households, with a target of reaching 10,000 enterprises in the coming years.

Given its strategic location and advantages, Hoa Khanh Ward has great potential to develop a vibrant startup and innovation ecosystem, Huynh Anh Vu said.

He also affirmed the ward’s commitment to supporting startup projects, digital transformation, and technology development.

During the forum, representatives of eight organizations signed a comprehensive Memorandum of Understanding under the Government - University - Business - International partnership model, with the message “One Commitment”.

The entire signing ceremony was conducted on a digital platform, with representatives from all parties using electronic signatures to formalize a joint action commitment, demonstrating their shared responsibility in developing Hoa Khanh’s startup and innovation ecosystem.
