Unblocking consumption flow

An opening ceremony of a fair to introduce and promote Ngoc Linh ginseng and medicinal herbs in Da Nang has just been organized by the city's Department of Industry and Trade.

The event, with 50 booths, was not only a showcase of the finest rare medicinal herbs but also a direct meeting place between producers and consumers. It is a concrete effort to integrate Ngoc Linh ginseng more deeply into the domestic and international supply chain, affirming its reputation for origin and quality.

In fact, Ngoc Linh ginseng has high economic and medicinal value. According to Chairman of the Da Nang Association of Ngoc Linh Ginseng, Nguyen Duc Luc, bringing Ngoc Linh ginseng to the city aims to help local people and tourists easily access the products.

He said Da Nang is a tourist city. So, it is a great opportunity to introduce the Da Nang ginseng brand to international friends. An Hai Ward, a bustling tourist center where the monthly fair of introducing ginseng products takes place, is a strategic step for turning ginseng into a high-end travel gift.

A highlight of this year's fair is the creation of a hands-on experience space where visitors can learn about the production process and how to identify the product quality of Ngoc Linh ginseng.

In particular, the fair taking place every second Saturday and Sunday of the month at the Son Tra Night Market area (An Hai Ward) is expected to help local businesses maintain continuous promotional activities instead of short-term events. It will help build strong consumption trust in Ngoc Linh ginseng and other medicinal herbs with clear origins and guaranteed quality.

Boosting economic development in mountainous regions

Ngoc Linh ginseng is not only a medicinal treasure but also an economic benefit for the people in the highlands. Therefore, the fair is a great opportunity for people in the highlands to develop their livelihoods.

For example, Ngoc Linh ginseng contributes to improving the growers' income in Ta Tam Commune. Local growers are encouraged to cooperate with businesses to expand the growing area of Ngoc Linh ginseng and diversify its products.

In Tra Linh Commune, the core area of Ngoc Linh ginseng currently boasts an area of over 2,000 hectares.

The Ngoc Linh Ginseng and Medicinal Plant Conservation and Development Cooperative in Tra Linh Commune, including 42 households, is cultivating a total area of 60 hectares of ginseng now.

The director of this cooperative, Nguyen Van Luong, who has just participated in this fair for the first time, said his cooperative brought to the market more than 10 lines of Ngoc Linh ginseng products, ranging from raw and fresh to processed ginseng, such as ginseng soaked in forest honey and ginseng leaf wine.
