Da Nang seeks to expand labor cooperation with South Korea
DNO - A delegation from the Da Nang Department of Home Affairs, led by Deputy Director Nguyen Qui Quy, visited and worked with the Embassy of Vietnam in South Korea on Monday.

At the meeting, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thai Binh, Deputy Ambassador of Vietnam to South Korea, discussed key issues related to investment and bilateral cooperation.
She noted that Vietnam recorded strong growth in investment capital from South Korea as well as witnessed the proactive efforts of local authorities in promoting cooperation, especially in the labor sector, in the first half of 2026.
Reporting on Da Nang’s labor and employment situation, Mr. Nguyen Qui Quy proposed that the Vietnamese Embassy in South Korea help connect the city with South Korean localities to expand workforce cooperation.
He also suggested stepping up the promotion of Da Nang workers’ image, skills and work ethic to enhance their competitiveness against seasonal workers from other countries.

The Da Nang delegation asked for a support from the Vietnamese Embassy in South Korea in connecting the Da Nang Department of Home Affairs with authorities of South Korean districts and counties that require seasonal labor.
In addition, the delegation sought advice on measures to prevent and address cases of workers absconding or overstaying during their employment in South Korea.
Mr. Tran Quang Duy, a representative of the Management Board for Vietnamese Workers in South Korea, briefed the Da Nang delegation on support services for Vietnamese citizens.
Deputy Ambassador Nguyen Thi Thai Binh affirmed that the embassy would support Da Nang in strengthening connections with South Korean partners, with labor cooperation identified as a priority area in the coming period.
