Da Nang positions itself as Central Vietnam's semiconductor hub

In addition, Da Nang has developed a comprehensive policy framework specifically for strategic investors, experts, scientists, and enterprises operating in the semiconductor and high-tech electronics supply chain.
The city has also been fostering closer collaboration in workforce development by strengthening partnerships among government agencies, leading technology companies, universities, and colleges in Da Nang and the Central and Central Highlands regions. This coordinated approach aims to enhance training quality and ensure graduates meet industry standards.
All of these advantages are helping Da Nang advance its vision of positioning itself as a leading semiconductor and high-tech hub in Central Vietnam.
The aforementioned message was highlighted at the Da Nang Semiconductor and High-Tech Conference, organized by the municipal Department of Science and Technology on Friday as part of the Da Nang Business, Finance and Technology Week 2026.

Delivering his speech at the opening ceremony of the conference, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Ho Quang Buu emphasized that the semiconductor and high-tech industries were not only the core of the Fourth Industrial Revolution but also served as key drivers of national and local competitiveness.
Deeply aware of this strategic importance, Da Nang has always taken a proactive and pioneering approach to developing the semiconductor industry, he added.
He emphasized that the city has identified science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation as its foremost strategic breakthroughs and main driving forces for its socio-economic development.
During the conference, leading domestic and international experts presented numerous papers on advanced packaging, Chiplet technology, artificial intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), wearable devices, drones, and the development of Vietnam’s semiconductor ecosystem.
The discussions focused on emerging technology trends, solutions for developing high-quality human resources, strengthening public-private partnerships, and enhancing Vietnam's capacity to participate in the global semiconductor value chain.
