Da Nang promotes hi-tech investment cooperation with German businesses

DNO - The Da Nang High-Tech Park and Industrial Zones Management Board in coordination with the Embassy of Vietnam in Germany held an investment networking event in Berlin on Monday.

The purpose of the program was to promote Da Nang's investment environment, strengthen business connections and expand bilateral economic cooperation with German partners.

Within the framework of the program, the Da Nang High-Tech Park and Industrial Zones Management Board and the ASCO Industries N.V. signed a cooperation agreement.

The signing marked a new step in strengthening ties between Da Nang and the German business community as well as paved the way for future investment and technology collaboration.

Speaking at the event, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Financial Counselor at the Embassy of Vietnam in Germany, highlighted Da Nang's position as one of Vietnam's most dynamic economic growth engines.

She added that the city's gross regional domestic product (GRDP) is estimated to have increased by 9.52% in the first half of the year.

She pledged that the Vietnamese Embassy in Germany would continue acting as a bridge for supporting German businesses in seeking investment opportunities, establishing research and development (R&D) centers, and expanding production operations in Da Nang.

At the event, the delegation of Da Nang introduced the city’s competitive advantages, business-friendly environment, administrative reforms, digital transformation and investor-oriented governance model.

Reaffirming the city's commitment to supporting investors, Mr. Vu Quang Hung, Head of the Da Nang High-Tech Park and Industrial Zones Management Board, said Da Nang will assist German enterprises throughout their investment process by providing streamlined and transparent administrative procedures and a stable investment environment.

As part of the program, representatives of DSEZA, together with Vietnamese companies including Phytopharma and NewTechco Group, also showcased their capabilities and cooperation potential to German partners.

Businesses from both countries exchanged views on cooperation opportunities in hi-tech, healthcare, supporting industries and innovation, thereby helping expand investment and business partnerships between Da Nang and the German business community.
