AEONMALL Vietnam opens first shopping mall in Da Nang

DNO - AEONMALL Vietnam Co., Ltd. officially opened AEON MALL Da Nang Thanh Khe on Friday. This marks the company’s first shopping mall in Da Nang and its 8th in Vietnam.

Attending the ceremony were Standing Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Ho Ky Minh and Japanese Consul General in the city Mori Takero.

Located at 46 Dien Bien Phu Street in Thanh Khe Ward, AEON MALL Da Nang Thanh Khe operates within the podium of a multi-functional complex comprising a four-star hotel, offices, and apartments.

The shopping mall features approximately 30,000 square metres of commercial floor space, including around 21,000 square metres of leasable area.

It houses nearly 60 specialized stores representing both international and domestic brands across a wide range of sectors, such as supermarkets and general merchandise, fashion, furniture, home electronics and entertainment facilities.

Notably, nearly half of these brands are making their debut in Da Nang, bringing new and modern shopping and entertainment experiences to local residents.

AEON MALL Da Nang Thanh Khe is expected to create around 1,700 jobs, contributing to local economic development.

In his remarks at the opening ceremony, Standing Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh stated that the launch of AEON MALL Da Nang Thanh Khe not only reflected the company’s confidence in the city’s investment and business environment but also demonstrated its long-term vision and commitment to accompanying Da Nang’s development in the new phase.

He expressed his belief that the new shopping center will improve operational efficiency, strengthen connections with markets and communities, and make greater contributions to local socio-economic development.

The city leader voiced his hope that high-quality Vietnamese products would have opportunities to enter AEON MALL’s global retail network.

Da Nang authorities committed to continuing to improve its investment environment and always stood by, listen to, and create the most favorable conditions for businesses, including AEONMALL Vietnam Co., Ltd., to effectively operate and expand sustainably in the city over the long term, he added.

Representatives of AEONMALL Vietnam Co., Ltd. reaffirmed that Vietnam remains one of the company’s key markets. They also revealed that the company planned to further expand its investments through the development of additional shopping centers in centrally governed cities and major urban areas.

Viewing Da Nang as a market with significant growth potential, company representatives also shared plans for a second project in Hoa Xuan Ward.

The project is currently undergoing legal procedures in a bid to better serve local residents, with a scale approximately 3.5 times larger than the Thanh Khe mall.
