This is in alignment with Da Nang's economic structure, where services, trade, tourism, transport, and high-quality services predominate.

The industrial and construction sector recorded 11.72%, contributing 3.2 percentage points to overall growth. It indicates a strong recovery in industrial and construction production, contributing to a foundation for sustainable growth and enhancing the city's production capacity.

Meanwhile, the agriculture, forestry, and fishering industry sector grew by 3.27%, contributing to food security, rural economic development, and stable livelihoods for the local residents.

In addition, product taxes minus product subsidies increased by 9.52%. It reflects the continued expansion of production, business, consumption, and circulation of goods, contributing to the budget revenue and economic growth of the city.

Reported from the Da Nang Statistics Office, total social investment exceeded 50.98 trillion VND (about 1.94 billion USD) in the first six months, up 31.5% from the same period last year.

Da Nang city's GDP in the first six months of 2026 is estimated to reach VND 171,267 billion, an increase of VND 21,029 billion compared to the same period in 2025. The economy continues to expand thanks to the positive growth of various sectors and the increase in production and business value in the city.

The economic growth results of Da Nang city continue to affirm its position as one of the growth poles in Central Vietnam.

Creating driving force for futher development

According to Head of Da Nang Statistics Offfice, Tran Van Vu, to create a driving force for further economic development in the remaining months of the year, the city should focus on removing difficulties related to capital and raw materials, supporting businesses in digital transformation, and improving labor productivity.

At the same time, trade promotion should be strengthened and free trade agreements (FTAs) should be effectively utilized to expand export markets.

Besides, the disbursement of public investment capital, key projects, transportation infrastructure, and industrial zones should be accelerated by the city's authorities, Vu asked.

Da Nang is focusing on attracting FDI (Foreign Direct Investment) into high-tech industries, semiconductor chips, artificial intelligence (AI), and green industries; managing the budget tightly, implementing programs to stabilize market prices; and creating favorable conditions for businesses to access reasonable credit sources.

Simultaneously, the city is committed to fully implementing social welfare policies, addressing employment issues, and improving the quality of healthcare and education services in order to continue turning Da Nang into a safe and livable city.
