Accordingly, with unanimous agreement from the judging panel comprising artists, art experts and the consulting firm Global2000, Jiangxi Yangfeng Art Display Co., Ltd (China) and Macedos Pirotecnia (Portugal) have secured their places in the DIFF 2026 final, which will take place on the evening of July 11.

The selection was made based on stringent judging criteria, including the originality, design concept and theme of the performance; creativity and diversity of effects and colors; synchronization between music and fireworks; and the finale and emotional impact on the audience.

Representing China, the reigning champion of DIFF 2025 once again affirmed its status as a global fireworks powerhouse with its performance titled “The Oriental Flower”.

The team created multi-layered effects that transformed the sky above the Han River into a vibrant artistic stage with constantly changing colors, fully winning over the judges.

Meanwhile, Portugal made an impressive comeback after winning the Most Creative Award at DIFF 2025. The team left a strong impression with its poetic presentation style and distinctive European artistry.

Notably, during the competition night themed “Vision”, Portugal captivated audiences by creating a fireworks display depicting Vietnam’s iconic bamboo hedges set to the song “Dong Mau Lac Hong” (Lac Hong Blood).

With its masterful use of space and a range of innovative effects, Portugal delivered a unique visual experience, making it one of the highest-rated performances of the season.

Following the announcement of the result, the two teams will have just over 10 days to prepare for the biggest showdown of the festival season. The final night will be broadcast live on VTV1 (Vietnam Television) at 8:10 pm on July 11.
