The “Where Light Begins” exhibition showcases the winning entries from the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2026 online photo contest.

The event attracted hundreds of submissions from photographers, camera club members and photography enthusiasts from across Vietnam.

Participants captured not only the dazzling fireworks displays over the Han River, but also the vibrant atmosphere and energy that have become synonymous with DIFF.

After careful selection, the judging panel chose the most outstanding works for awards and public display.

Forty photographs are being exhibited, presenting colourful moments of fireworks bursting above the city and highlighting Da Nang’s lively rhythm during one of Central Vietnam’s largest festivals.

Alongside the beauty of light and color, the images reveal something deeper - the city’s aspirations, vitality and growing international profile.

Through creative perspectives, the exhibition reflects Da Nang’s transformation into a leading destination for tourism, festivals and major events in Asia.

Organizers said the exhibition serves as a platform to promote the image of a dynamic, modern and culturally rich Da Nang while demonstrating effective cooperation among local authorities, cultural organizations, photographers and businesses in creating tourism-driven communication products.

As part of the programme, outstanding photographers were honoured for their achievements in the “Where Light Begins” online photo contest and the third stage of the DIFF 2026 Online Photo Marathon themed “Moments of Sublimation”.

Their works captured emotional and unforgettable scenes accompanying this year’s festival season.

Open free of charge through the end of July, the exhibition invites both residents and visitors to discover DIFF from a fresh perspective.

More than a collection of photographs, it offers a visual journey that extends the spirit of the fireworks festival beyond the night sky, further reinforcing Da Nang’s identity as a city of festivals, creativity and inspiration.
