A Da Nang student wins gold medal in European Physics Olympiad

DNO - Nguyen Nhat Anh, a student of Le Quy Don High School for the Gifted (Da Nang City), has just won a gold medal at the European Physics Olympiad (EuPhO) 2026, according to the school's Principal, Le Thanh Hai, on the afternoon of June 16.

EuPhO is an annual continental-level physics competition for high school students across Europe and several guest countries, including Vietnam.

It is also a world-renowned physics contest, ranking alongside the International Physics Olympiad (IPhO) and the Asian Physics Olympiad (APhO). Each country taking part nominates five students to sit for two rounds: a theoretical test (5 hours) and a practical test (5 hours).

Nguyen Nhat Anh is one of five students representing Vietnam at this competition.
