Speaking at the event, Deputy Director of Da Nang's Department Industry and Trade Huynh Xuan Son said the Halal market has emerged as a strategic destination for Vietnamese exporters, including businesses in Da Nang, amid global economic uncertainties.

The Halal market, which supplies products and services in accordance with Islamic law, serves more than 2 billion consumers across over 110 countries and territories. In fact, Muslim consumers spent strongly in recent years.

Halal has evolved beyond food products into a vast economic ecosystem, from cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, logistics, tourism to finance and others. It presents enormous growth potential for the Vietnamese business in general and Da Nang in particular.

For Da Nang, after its merge with Quang Nam Province, the city boasts a development space with several strategic advantages in industrial production, food processing, agriculture and fisheries, logistics, seaports, aviation, and tourism. These are key fields for the locality to participate deeply in the global Halal value chain.

At the same time, Da Nang is pursuing its ambition of becoming a hub for high-quality services, logistics and tourism, while seeking its role as an international trade gateway in Central Vietnam.

At the seminar, businesses were updated on the development trends of the global Halal market, stringent certification standards, and practical experiences in accessing international distribution systems.

It also created a space for direct dialogue between the business and experts, certification organisations, and major distributors, contributing to forming a Halal ecosystem in Da Nang while expanding export markets and creating conditions to strongly attract tourists, investors, and partners from Muslim countries to the city.
