DIFF 2026: Cultural identity set to shine in second fireworks night
DNO - The second competition night of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2026 themed “Heritage” will take place on the evening of June 6.
Reigning runner-up Z121 Vina Pyrotech (Vietnam 2) and Lux Factory POK 2.0 (France) are working hard to prepare for their fireworks performances rich in cultural identity.
France: Anticipation for performance about “Da Nang - A livable city”
The beauty and development of Da Nang as one of Vietnam’s most livable cities will be the central message in the performance of Team Lux Factory POK 2.0 (France) on the second competition night of DIFF 2026 on June 6 under the theme “Heritage”.
Despite being a “newcomer” at DIFF, Lux Factory POK 2.0 is expected to deliver a world-class performance worthy of a team that recently won the Gold Jupiter Award at the 2025 Montreal International Fireworks Competition in Canada.
Sharing about the theme “Heritage”, team leader Arnaud Fouriau said the theme reminded us of a journey of formation, development and the aspirations for international integration. “That is also the spirit we want to bring to DIFF this year” he added.
Through the combination of sound, light, and fireworks, we aim to honour the traditional cultural values and the continuous connection between the past, present, and future of Da Nang in particular, and Vietnam in general

The French team’s performance is inspired by the inherent vitality and unique values that have earned Da Nang its reputation as one of Vietnam’s most livable destinations.
“We select melodies that best portray the beauty of your homeland. It is an honor for us to celebrate the wonderful values of Da Nang in our performance” Mr. Arnaud Fouriau expressed.
Vietnam 2: Bringing the country’s heritage identity to DIFF
Following its runner-up finish at DIFF 2025, Z121 Vina Pyrotech (Vietnam 2) returns to DIFF 2026 with even greater expectations.
Colonel Tran Anh Manh, Deputy Director of 21 Chemical Company (Z121), said that the team has focused on addressing limitations related to the fireworks site, the performance script, and the music selection in preparation for this year’s festival.
All fireworks used by Z121 at DIFF 2026 are manufactured by the unit itself.
Leveraging its deep understanding of local culture, the team has chosen evocative musical compositions while making significant investments in 3D simulation technology to enhance the overall quality of its performance.
According to Colonel Tran Anh Manh, through the theme “Heritage”, Z121 Vina Pyrotech hopes to portray a beautiful and culturally rich Vietnam that is actively integrating with the world while confidently moving toward the future.
A special highlight of the performance will be the image of the palm tree of Phu Tho Province, where the company is based. This symbol represents resilience, vitality, and the aspirations of the Vietnamese people.

Mr. Tran Anh Manh affirmed DIFF 2026 was a major international stage, so the team has prepared meticulously, from product research to script development.
"Drawing on our experience performing at many important political and cultural events, we hope to present an image of Vietnam that is rich in identity and confident on the global stage” he noted.
