According to Booking.com’s Travel Prediction 2026, travellers increasingly preferring personal interests and convenience when planning their holiday, which is called the “Era of You”.

Dominance of coastal areas

Booking.com said, Vietnam’s coastal destinations continue to dominate domestic summer searches. Da Nang still ranks first among domestic destinations most searched thanks to a harmonious mixture of breathtaking coastal landscapes, modern tourism infrastructure, and high quality service system.

Besides, this year’s search trends show a shift towards familiar, convenient and relatively easy-to-plan destinations where travellers can maximise relaxation and minimise travel friction.

For family travel, Da Nang ranks as the number one, followed by Nha Trang, Da Lat, Vung Tau, Phu Quoc. For couples, Da Nang also tops in the list. For friends travel and solo travel, Da Nang is a preferred choice.

According to Booking.com, instead of generic vacations, trips, especially for young people or friends travel are increasingly tailored to individual passions, cultural immersion, and shared relaxation. In fact, Da Nang is considered as one of best choice for this trend.
