Da Nang lotus fields burst into summer bloom

The seasonal flowering has transformed rural areas into one of the most photographed natural attractions in the region, drawing visitors in search of peaceful landscapes and authentic experiences.

Among the most striking sites is Tra Ly Lotus Field in Chanh Loc Village, Duy Xuyen Commune, Da Nang.

Nestled at the foot of Hon Tau Mountain, the lotus fields spread across the land like a soft pink carpet, where thousands of blossoms open under the intense summer sun.

The scene is both serene and vibrant, blending natural purity with the rustic charm of Vietnam’s countryside.

Beyond their visual appeal, the lotus ponds offer visitors an opportunity to experience the slower rhythm of rural life.

Few experiences capture the charm of rural Central Vietnam better than sipping fragrant lotus tea while gazing across fields of pink blossoms shining in the summer sunshine.

For many visitors, it is a peaceful and memorable moment that defines the beauty of the Da Nang countryside.

As the lotus season reaches its peak, these tranquil ponds are emerging as attractive check-in spots where visitors can immerse themselves in nature, take stunning photographs and discover the timeless beauty of Vietnam’s countryside.

Tra Ly’s growing popularityis also supported by long-term tourism planning.

Under Da Nang’s Organic Agriculture Development Plan for 2026-2030, with a vision to 2035, Tra Ly Lotus Pond has been designated as one of 16 organic agricultural spaces linked to experiential tourism development.

In addition to Tra Ly, several other lotus destinations are drawing visitors during the flowering season, including Huong Phuoc Lake in Lien Chieu Ward, Bau Nghe in Hoa Khanh Ward, the lotus pond near Nong Son Railway Station in Dien Ban Tay Commune, and the lotus-growing area at Song Dam in Ban Thach Ward.
