Da Nang strengthens cooperation with France to develop international financial centre
DNO - Standing Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee Ho Ky Minh, on Friday, hosted a reception for Mr. Etienne Ranaivoson, the Consul General of France in Ho Chi Minh City, and his delegation, to discuss future cooperation orientations.

At the meeting, Standing Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh briefed the French delegation on Da Nang’s outstanding socio-economic development following the administrative merger.
In the first four months of 2026, Da Nang welcomed nearly 6 million overnight visitors, up 19.2% year-on-year, while total import-export turnover exceeded US$3 billion, marking a 13.7% increase compared to the same period last year.
Da Nang is now focusing on developing key sectors including seaports, logistics, high technology, artificial intelligence (AI), and the Vietnam International Financial Centre in Da Nang.
The Standing Vice Chairman Ho Ky Minh expressed his hope that the French Consulate General would continue facilitating connections and introducing French investors and enterprises seeking cooperation and investment opportunities in Da Nang.
Also, he proposed support for the effective implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding between Da Nang and Paris Europlace in the areas of research, training, policy consultation and the development of an international financial ecosystem.
Consul General Etienne Ranaivoson highly appreciated Da Nang’s development achievements and affirmed his commitment to continuing to serve as a bridge fostering cooperation between French partners and this central Vietnamese city in areas of mutual strength and shared interest.
