Da Nang promoting cooperation with China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region
DNO - Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee Tran Chi Cuong, on Thursday, hosted a reception for a delegation from China’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region led by Vice Chairwoman of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Government Lu Xinning during their working visit to Da Nang.
During the meeting, Vice Chairman Tran Chi Cuong briefly introduced his guests to Da Nang’ s socio-economic development and the city’s investment priorities. He said Da Nang City hoped to expand cooperation with Guangxi in the fields of trade, tourism, human resource training, technology transfer, and digital economy development.
The two sides should also maintain their high-level visits and exchanges, promote connections in business, trade, and tourism, and coordinate participation in trade fairs and ASEAN - China cooperation forums.
Da Nang then asked Guangxi to support scholarships for the city’s students, create opportunities for Da Nang’s officials to participate in training programs and experience exchange in hi- tech, logistics, tourism; and connect travel businesses between the two sides.
In reply, Ms. Lou Xinning thanked Da Nang officials for their warm welcome and highly appreciated the city's potential, advantages, and strategic development orientation. She also agreed with the Da Nang leader’s cooperation proposals and wished the two localities continue their cooperation in various fields, especially in artificial intelligence (AI) and seaports.
On this occasion, the two localities signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen friendship and cooperative relations.
