Da Nang remains favorite destination for South Korean travelers
DNO - Thanks to increasingly open visa policies and the stable appeal of the destination, Da Nang continues to attract international tourists, especially those from South Korea.

Da Nang - A favorite destination
For a long time, South Korea has been one of Da Nang’s key international tourist markets.
According to the municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in the first four months of the year, the city welcomed over 823,000 South Korean visitors, accounting for 21.75% of the total international arrivals.
South Korean tourists love Da Nang the most because of its convenient air routes, pleasant climate, beautiful beaches, and diverse experiences in relaxation, cuisine, and entertainment.
Many express their appreciation for the friendliness and hospitality of Da Nang residents as well as the increasingly improved quality of tourism services.
The city’s professionally developed hotel and resort system, combined with diverse tourism experiences, contributes to encouraging many visitors to return with family and friends after their first visits.
Currently, there are four regular direct air routes connecting Incheon, Busan, Daegu and Cheongju in South Korea with Da Nang, operated by 13 domestic and international airlines.
These routes also provide a strong foundation for expanding trade and cultural exchanges between the two sides.
In addition, the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) in Vietnam has introduced updated support policies to promote package travel products for individual travelers as well as incentive and MICE tourism groups.
This include K-Culture, regional airports, charter flights, sports tourism and Vietnam-Korea heritage-linked tourism products.
These activities are being implemented to stimulate the peak travel season from July 2026.

Expanding tourism cooperation
Ms. Park Eun Jung, Chief Representative of KTO Vietnam, shared that in recent years, Da Nang has become one of the most favored destinations among South Korean travelers.
Recently, tourism exchanges between South Korea and Vietnam have consistently recorded strong growth.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoai An, Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, from June 28 to July 4, Da Nang’s tourism sector will organize a series of tourism promotion activities in South Korea.
These will include the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Gala in South Korea 2026, a booth promoting Da Nang culture and tourism at the Daegu Chicken and Beer Festival, and the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the Busan Tourism Organization with the goal of strengthening tourism cooperation between Da Nang and South Korean localities.
At the same time, the city will continue promoting, maintaining and expanding air routes, while encouraging visitor exchanges in the coming period.
These efforts are expected to enhance connectivity and expand business cooperation opportunities for tourism enterprises on both sides.
