The information has been recently unveiled at StartupBlink’s global online seminar announcing the 2026 rankings.

The latest ranking marks a significant milestone for Da Nang’s innovation and startup ecosystem amid increasingly intense global competition among cities and countries to attract innovation, technology, and high-quality resources.

The sharp rise in rankings not only reflects improvements in both the quantity and quality of innovative startups, but also demonstrates that the city’s startup environment is becoming increasingly dynamic, open, and globally connected.

Mr. Vo Duc Anh, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Innovation Startup Support Centre, attributed the achievement to years of coordinated and sustained efforts across the city’s startup ecosystem.

He pointed to the active role of local authorities in introducing tailored support policies, alongside contributions from universities, research institutes, technology enterprises, the startup community, investment funds, support organizations, mentors and both domestic and international partners.

Also, Da Nang has prioritized investment in infrastructure development to support innovation, digital transformation and high-tech while promoting emerging sectors such as artificial intelligence (AI), semiconductors, blockchain and biotechnology.

In recent years, the city’s startup ecosystem has been expanded through a range of investment promotion events, innovation initiatives and international cooperation activities.

Notably, Da Nang was selected by StartupBlink as one of the representative ecosystems to present at the global launch workshop.

This provides the city with an opportunity to showcase its dynamic innovation startup environment, development potential, and strategic vision of becoming a regional innovation hub in the future.

The Global Startup Ecosystem Index Report 2026 evaluated more than 1,500 cities and 120 countries worldwide. StartupBlink is an international organization specializing in startup ecosystem research and mapping.
