Positive signals

Da Nang is currently hosting music, film, and cultural tourism events that attract a large number of audiences and professionals.

Most recently, the Sea Garden at the Ariyana International Convention Center Da Nang came alive with the AirAsia THE NEXT Live Concert 2026.

Popular young artists energized a crowd of 5,500 spectators, marking an impressive increase from more than 3,500 attendees recorded at the THE NEXT Live Concert 2024.

Attracting thousands of spectators, especially young people across the country, the event not only created a strong ripple effect but also contributes to boosting tourism, services, and the local economy.

The success of AirAsia THE NEXT Live Concert 2026 highlights that Da Nang is emerging as a new destination for large-scale national music festivals.

In fact, the trend of major concerts shifting from Vietnam’s two largest metropolitan areas to Da Nang is becoming increasingly evident.

With advantages in infrastructure, landscapes, and organizational capacity, the city is well-positioned not only to host large-scale events but also to offer audiences unique experiences.

In late May, the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2026 will return with new advances in performance technology.

According to the organizers, DIFF 2026 will feature an impressive artistic stage and top fireworks teams from around the world, promising explosive and spectacular performances.

Notably, DIFF was recently ranked among the world’s top 9 must-experience festivals by Travel + Leisure (the USA).

Another major upcoming event is the fourth edition of the Da Nang Asian Film Festival 2026 (DANAFF IV), scheduled from June 28 to July 4, with an upgraded scale and expanded activities.

According to President of the Vietnam Association of Film Promotion and Development Ngo Phuong Lan, DANAFF is gradually establishing itself as a national film festival brand.

Building momentum for faster growth

Da Nang aims to become one of Vietnam’s leading cultural industry centers by 2030, with internationally standardized products and services while promoting cultural exports and strengthening the Da Nang brand globally.

To achieve these goals, the city will focus on developing brands for its cultural industry products, including short films, music festivals, heritage-based handicrafts, creative tourism experiences, contemporary art tours, creative streets, and cultural night markets.

Businesses operating in the cultural industry sector are encouraged to build strong corporate brands, contributing to advertising the image of Da Nang as a creative, dynamic, and modern cultural hub capable of attracting investment, tourists, and consumers.

The city will also facilitate opportunities for businesses to expand markets and access international cooperation opportunities.
