Da Nang promotes its beach tourism appeal
DNO - Running from April 25 to May 3, the opening of “Da Nang Beach Tourism Season 2026” is bringing a vibrant, immersive atmosphere that is attracting large numbers of residents and visitors, helping to enhance the city’s appeal as a coastal destination.

A lively start to summer
At Bien Dong Park, the opening drew crowds with vibrant food stalls, performance stages and interactive spaces, creating a festive seaside atmosphere.
Visitors enjoyed diverse activities, from culinary experiences to beachside check-in spots, with many praising the well-organised food areas and creative highlights such as a Vietnam map-shaped pizza festival.
A key attraction was the large-scale marine sports showcase, featuring jet skiing, sailing, parasailing and flyboarding.

The event also impressed international visitors. Michael Radic, a tourist from Sydney (Australia), said that he was struck by the lively atmosphere, noting Da Nang’s unique combination of beaches, mountains, fresh air, and diverse recreational spaces.
Enhancing tourism experience
Visitors have noted clear improvements in both organisation and overall experience, highlighting that Da Nang’s appeal lies not only in its natural scenery but also in its ability to create engaging, memorable tourism products.
According to the management board of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang’s beaches, the 2026 beach tourism season spans multiple locations, including Son Tra and key beaches such as Phuoc My, My An, My Khe and Nguyen Tat Thanh, forming a continuous coastal experience.
Activities integrate recreation, sports, cuisine and eco-tourism, with expanded spaces and additional stopover points to encourage longer stays.

The programme features 19 activities, including new highlights such as an international pizza festival, rice-based ice-cream making experience, beach water games, marine sports performances and “Son Tra Walking Day.”
Alongside entertainment, the programme integrates messages on marine environmental protection and promotes eco-experiences at Son Tra Peninsula, aiming to raise awareness of sustainable tourism practices.

This year’s programme features 19 activities, including five new highlights: an international pizza festival, an interactive ice-cream making experience from Vietnamese rice, the “Beach Water Games”, marine sports performances, and “Son Tra Walking Day”.

Notably, the pizza festival showcases a blend of global culinary culture with iconic landmarks, creating a unique check-in space, while the water game event recreates a lively summer festival atmosphere with music and interactive activities.
In addition to entertainment, the programme integrates messages on marine environmental protection and promotes eco-experiences at Son Tra Peninsula, aiming to raise awareness of sustainable tourism practices.
