DNO - As part of their ongoing working trip to China, a delegation from Da Nang, led by of municipal People’s Committee Vice Chairman Tran Chi Cuong, recently paid a courtesy visit to leaders of Yiwu, Zhejiang Province, promote bilateral cooperation opportunities.

Yiwu is a dynamic city where commercial activities take place around the clock, especially at its bustling night markets. Although not a tourism-focused destination, the city receives significant volumes of business visitors, with accommodation facilities often operating at high occupancy rates.
Yiwu is highly praised for its favorable, open, and business-friendly environment, a rich and complete good ecosystem, and a well-developed, synchronized transport and logistics infrastructure. This foundation has been important in attracting businesses, especially young entrepreneurs.
Vietnam is currently one of Yiwu's important import and export partners. Yiwu wishes to strengthen friendly cooperation with Da Nang in the fields of economy, trade, culture, and people-to-people exchanges.
For his part, Vice Chairman Tran Chi Cuong spoke highly of Yiwu’s development achievements, especially its wholesale market model linked to a modern trade and logistics ecosystem.
He reaffirmed that Da Nang is committed to creating favorable conditions for cooperation and business connectivity between the two localities. He also expressed his hope that the visit will open a new phase of comprehensive collaboration.
During the visit, the Da Nang delegation conducted a field survey of the Yiwu International Trade Market, widely known as the world’s largest wholesale market and the core of the city’s commercial ecosystem.
Stretching approximately 4 kilometers, with more than 80,000 stalls and over 2.1 million products, the market serves as a major trading hub and distribution center, directly linked to global manufacturing and export networks. This greatly contributes to the development of the “small commodities, big market” model.

The delegation also visited the Yiwu Port, managed by Zhejiang Seaport Yiwu Hub Port Co., Ltd.
This is one of the leading logistics centers in eastern China, integrating all modes of transport including road, rail, air, and sea, and serving as a major gateway for Yiwu’s exports to global markets.
Its “single-window” customs and warehousing model, fast clearance procedures and smart storage systems significantly enhance cargo circulation efficiency.
The close integration of a large-scale wholesale market with a synchronized logistics system has created a strong competitive edge, positioning Yiwu as a global distribution center.
