Summer above the clouds: Sun Festival 2026 Opens at Ba Na Hills
DNO - The Sun World Ba Na Hills, one of the most popular attractions in Da Nang, has officially launched the 2026 Sun Festival, unveiling a season-long celebration that blends art, cuisine and craft beer atop the iconic “mountain city” of Da Nang.

From beer festival to a multi-sensory experience hub
Running throughout the summer, the event is positioned not merely as a festival but as an immersive experience where visitors are invited to engage with a dynamic, multi-sensory environment.
This year’s edition marks a strategic shift in how Ba Na Hills designs its summer offerings.
Previously centered on beer-themed events inspired by Oktoberfest, the destination is now moving toward a broader “festival ecosystem”.
Food and beverages remain core elements, but they are reimagined as part of a larger narrative that integrates performance, interaction and storytelling.
Culinary experiences are elevated into live showcases. Visitors can watch chefs in action, from grilling and baking to intricate pizza dough performances at Brasserie restaurant.
Food stalls featuring kebabs, hotdogs and Ba Na’s signature grilled sausages contribute to a vibrant European-style street atmosphere, where sight, sound and aroma combine to enhance the experience.
Across the venue, a series of performances animate the festival space throughout the day. Among the highlights is the debut of “Happy Cleaners Performance,” where sanitation staff take the stage, transforming everyday tools into props for energetic choreography.
Another standout, “Pizza Time,” turns the kitchen into a performance arena, offering a fresh perspective on culinary entertainment.

These new acts complement Ba Na Hills’ established shows such as Love in the Sky, Malambo and Cancan, along with the cabaret-style “After Glow”, creating a continuous rhythm of international-style entertainment.
Where performance, participation and scenery converge
Alongside interesting performances, the festival emphasizes visitor participation through highly-inviting tnteractive games like the “Beer King Hunt” and the endurance-based “Keg Holding” challenge - involving 20kg beer kegs - draw crowds and heighten the festive atmosphere.
The event also coincides with one of the most visually striking periods at Ba Na Hills. Gardens such as Le Jardin D’Amour are in full bloom, while landmarks including the Golden Bridge and the French Village continue to serve as key attractions for visitors.
Notably, Sun Festival 2026 also introduces a broader development vision with four themed zones, each representing a distinct “world” and character, from the vibrant Sun Kingdom to more tranquil, nature-inspired spaces.
As Da Nang’s tourism sector intensifies its focus on experiential travel, the festival underscores Ba Na Hills’ ambition to reposition itself from a sightseeing destination into a fully immersive cultural and entertainment hub.
