Showdown of elites

From an annual festival, DIFF 2026 has evolved into a top-tier showdown among the world’s leading “schools of fireworks”. This year’s lineup features seasoned names that have left their mark on international festivals.

Each competition night is not merely a fireworks display, but an “artistic battle” where teams tell their own stories through light, music, and cutting-edge technology.

With years of experience and the advantage of performing on the Han River stage, the Da Nang Fireworks Team (Vietnam 1) captivates audiences with emotionally rich performances imbued with Vietnamese identity.

Meanwhile, Z121 Vina Pyrotech (Vietnam 2), runner-up of DIFF 2025, stands out for its color-changing pyrotechnic techniques and technological foundation rooted in the defense industry, promising further surprises.

Notably, Jiangxi Yangfeng Art Fireworks (China), the reigning DIFF 2025 champion, represents a grand, high-impact style with layered effects and dramatic crescendos.

Italy’s Martarello Group S.R.L delivers a theatrical “opera of light” filled with drama and emotion, while Portugal’s Macedos Pirotecnia Lda brings a romantic, free-flowing Mediterranean flair.

Notably, this year sees the debut of several formidable newcomers. In particular, Germany’s Steffes-Ollig Feuerwerke is renowned for near-absolute precision and technical discipline.

The Lux Factory POK 2.0 team (France) represents contemporary fireworks art, marked by creativity and strong visual impact.

The Tamaya Kitahara Fireworks team (Japan) offers minimalist, refined performances with deep emotional resonance.

The Apple Pyrotechnics (Macau, China) is a mysterious force with extensive international experience, while Australia’s Skylighter Fireworks boasts youthful, energetic, and rhythm-driven displays.

The competitions among these teams are expected to create one of the most competitive seasons in DIFF history.

Da Nang’s summer signature

Over the years, DIFF has become a symbol of Da Nang’s summer tourism, attracting millions of domestic and international visitors.

The city takes on a vibrant, youthful appearance with a series of events, festivals, and entertainment activities lasting throughout the summer.

Amid the fireworks festivities, Da Nang also offers a wealth of experiences for visitors. The Sun World Ba Na Hills stands out as a premier destination, featuring its Beer Festival, captivating art performances, nighttime entertainment, and European-style architecture set amidst the clouds.

In addition, familiar yet ever-new experiences, such as watching the sunrise at My Khe Beach, exploring the Son Tra Peninsula, visiting the My Son Sanctuary, immersing yourself in the cultural flow of Hoi An Ancient Town, or simply spending a leisurely afternoon in cafes along the Han River, contribute to a harmonious picture of Da Nang that harmoniously blends festival energy with a relaxed lifestyle.

There are also several notable festivals such as River Fest, Beer Fest, and a series of experiences within the Sun Paradise Land ecosystem.

Alongside fireworks displays, DIFF 2026 also serves as a platform for global cultural exchange, where each performance reflects a fusion of tradition, modernity, technique, and emotion.

With a lineup of world-class teams, this year’s festival is expected to be the most explosive season yet. More than just a competition, Da Nang will stand as a celebration of pyrotechnic art where light becomes a universal language connecting millions of hearts.
