220 Russian tourists arrive in Da Nang on first flight linking Vladivostok
DNO - A flight from Vladivostok, Russia, operated by the Anex Vietnam Travel and Trading Co., Ltd. in coordination with VietJet Air, landed at Da Nang International Airport on Thursday, bringing 220 passengers to the city.
This marked the first official flight launching Anex Tour Vietnam’s summer 2026 program to tap into the international tourist market from Russia and CIS countries to Da Nang.
According to the plan, the program runs from April 16 to October 23, 2026, connecting eight cities from Russia, the CIS and Belarus with Da Nang.
The total number of international arrivals is expected to reach approximately 25,500, with a maximum frequency of 36 flights per month, equivalent to around 4,800 passengers monthly.
Tourists will stay for an average of six to nine nights at 3-to-5-star accommodations, contributing to longer stays and higher spending at the destination.
To create a positive first impression on tourists upon arrival, representatives from the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, relevant agencies and the airline operator organized a welcome ceremony at the international terminal.
A variety of vibrant and engaging activities were held, including lion dances, flower presentations, souvenir giveaways and the display of Da Nang tourism publications.
According to the department, the restoration and expansion of flight routes from Russia and the CIS not only help diversify source markets but also serve as a driving force for Da Nang to further affirm its position as an attractive international destination in the Asia-Pacific region.
