Da Nang launches flights from Russia and CIS Markets
DNO - On the morning of April 13, flight VJ55 from Astana (Kazakhstan), operated by Crystal Bay in cooperation with VietJet Air, landed at Da Nang International Airport, bringing 370 passengers to the city, including around 250 travel partners from the CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) market.
Representatives of the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, along with relevant agencies and the airline operator, organised a welcoming ceremony for the flight at Terminal T2 of the international airport.
The reception featured a range of activities, including lion dances, flower presentations, souvenir giveaways, photo sessions, and the display of Da Nang tourism publications.
Alongside the inaugural flight, from April 13 to 18, Crystal Bay is hosting a famtrip delegation of more than 250 travel businesses from CIS markets to survey tourism products and services across the city.
The programme also includes networking workshops and business-matching sessions between international tour operators and local tourism service providers in Da Nang.
In April and May, the route will operate at a frequency of three flights per week, with plans to increase to six weekly flights starting in June.
Throughout 2026, flights from Russia and CIS countries to Da Nang are expected to run from April to October, with an expanded network connecting Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Belarus, and multiple Russian cities. Most services will consist of charter flights organised by Crystal Bay, Anex Tour, and other travel companies, ensuring a consistent frequency during the peak season.
Another flight, VJ7989 from Vladivostok (Russia), operated by Anex Vietnam Travel and Trading Co., Ltd. in partnership with VietJet Air, is scheduled to arrive in Da Nang on April 16 with 220 passengers. The route is set to operate twice monthly in April, increasing to three flights per month from May.
