Expanding opportunities for financial investment cooperation

At the recent meeting with Japanese businesses, Consul General Mori Takero said Japan is among Da Nang’s top three FDI (foreign direct investment) sources, with 301 projects worth over USD 1.22 billion. The launch of the Vietnam International Financial Centre and expanded direct flights between Da Nang and Japan are expected to further attract Japanese banks and financial institutions.

Victory Securities (Hong Kong) has also explored opportunities, with CEO Kennix Chan highlighting Da Nang’s strong growth potential, especially in digital assets. Local business leader Truong Quoc Tuan added that partners from South Korea, the U.S., and Japan view the city’s investment environment positively.

With its stability, high quality of life, transparent governance, and strong administrative support, Da Nang is increasingly appealing to investors.

As a “new player", the city also has an advantage in adopting modern financial models such as fintech, digital finance, and regulatory sandbox mechanisms.

Accelerating investment attraction

According to Dang Dinh Duc, initial investor interest in the Vietnam International Financial Centre in Da Nang has been encouraging, with 85 expressions of interest received.

So far, 12 investors have been granted membership certificates, 11 have been approved, and nine are completing procedures.
