Da Nang facilitates cultural exchanges and expands cooperation opportunities with Colombian investors
DNO - Da Nang will always create all favorable conditions for capable and potential Colombian investors to research, survey and operate effectively in the city, especially in such key projects as the Free Trade Zone, Lien Chieu Port, and Chu Lai Airport.

Chairman of the Da Nang People’s Committee Pham Duc An made the statement while hosting a reception on Thursday for Ambassador of Colombia to Vietnam Camila Polo Flórez within the framework of her official visit to the city.
The city leader welcomed the Colombian Ambassador’s visit and expressed support for organizing a cultural exchange event in Da Nang, tentatively scheduled for September 2026. The event is expected to bring youth delegations from Colombian provinces to Da Nang for cultural exchange and artistic performances.
He noted that cultural and artistic exchanges will serve as a bridge to deepen cooperation between Colombian localities and Da Nang, paving the way for expanded collaboration in areas of mutual interest and the city’s strengths, including trade, tourism, and logistics.

Mr. An also called on the Colombian diplomat to support Da Nang in promoting its investment environment and opportunities, organizing business networking events, introducing programs and projects, and connecting with capable partners in priority sectors such as tourism, environment, logistics and supply chains, high-tech and clean agriculture, digital transformation, green transition, and sustainable development.
For her part, Ms. Camila Polo Flórez expressed her impression of the rapid development of Da Nang. She also voiced her desire to connect and exchange potential for comprehensive cooperation between Colombian localities and Da Nang in the coming time.
She proposed enhancing exchanges in culture and education, creating opportunities for young people from both countries to experience and learn about each other’s cultures, and promoting cooperation in areas such as gender equality.
