DNO - Since the beginning of the year, Da Nang has remained a popular destination for wedding celebrations, with wedding tourism emerging as a niche product that helps position the city as an attractive choice for high-spending travellers in the region.

A growing number of luxury weddings

In early February, an Indian couple held a lavish wedding in Da Nang with more than 250 guests, featuring traditional rituals such as Gauri Pooja, Sehrabandi, and Baraat.

As part of its 2026 wedding tourism promotion, the city organised a warm welcome at Da Nang International Airport, including LED congratulatory messages, logistics support, and gifts from the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Centre. Cultural performances and a silent fireworks display added to the experience.

The couple praised the city’s hospitality, scenic appeal, and high-end resort services, which are well suited for private, culturally rich wedding celebrations.

Toward a breakthrough strategy

In 2026, Da Nang continues to promote wedding tourism under the slogan “Da Nang - Where Happiness Begins,” focusing on weddings, honeymoons, and personalised cultural experiences to extend stays and boost spending.

New highlights include flexible support policies and features such as silent fireworks, alongside stronger public - private partnerships and digital marketing.

The wedding follows traditional Indian rituals.

Experts emphasise three key pillars for tourism growth: delivering highly personalised experiences; improving premium connectivity and infrastructure, including direct flights and luxury services; and implementing targeted global communication strategies to position Da Nang as a high-end wedding destination.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Da Nang hosted over 50 wedding tourism events in 2025 from key markets such as the United States, Australia, India, and overseas Vietnamese communities. Since early 2026, hotels and resorts have reported rising inquiries and bookings, reflecting a strong start and the effectiveness of the city’s professional, experience-focused promotion strategy.
