Enhancing destination visibility

From March 11 to 13, 2026, Da Nang made its debut at MITT Moscow 2026, held at the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Centre in Russia. The event, one of the largest tourism exhibitions in Eurasia, gathered more than 1,000 exhibitors from 40 countries and was expected to attract over 16,400 visitors.

At the exhibition, the Da Nang Tourism Promotion Centre and local businesses planned around 360 networking meetings with travel and tourism agencies from Russia and the CIS. The city promoted beach resorts combined with cultural and nature-based experiences, along with local cuisine, entertainment, shopping, and high-end resort services.

Participation in MITT Moscow 2026 is expected to strengthen Da Nang’s visibility in the Russian and CIS markets and create opportunities for cooperation with international travel partners. Russian tourists are considered a high-potential market, known for longer stays and higher spending.

Strengthening connectivity and market expansion

The Russian tourism market to Da Nang has shown strong recovery in recent years.

In 2025, the city welcomed more than 171,000 Russian visitors (nearly double the 2024 figure), while arrivals from CIS countries also increased. In the first two months of 2026, Russia entered Da Nang’s top 10 international visitor markets, accounting for 2.94 per cent of arrivals.

Air connectivity is also expanding, with travel companies such as Anex Tour and Crystal Bay planning charter flights from 12 cities in Russia and nearby areas to Da Nang starting in April 2026.

Alongside improved connectivity, the city has promoted tourism through a digital marketing campaign with Yango Ads across Russia and CIS countries, positioning Da Nang as a premium beach destination with rich cultural and natural experiences.

Through international promotion, expanded flight routes, and digital marketing, Da Nang aims to further tap into the high-potential Russian and CIS markets.
