Da Nang to host investment, trade and tourism cooperation forum in Laos on April 3
DNO - Da Nang plans to host the event “Investment, Trade and Tourism Cooperation Forum: Promoting Connectivity along the East - West Economic Corridor 2026” in Pakse City, Champasak Province, Laos, on April 3.

Themed “Linking Potential - Promoting Investment, Trade and Tourism Development”, the event is expected to attract approximately 500 delegates, including about 200 guests from Vietnam.
The forum aims to effectively implement commitments under the Vietnam - Laos Cooperation Agreement for the 2026 - 2030 period, while supporting provinces in southern and central Laos in attracting resources and promoting socio-economic development.
It will also help strengthen trade exchanges among markets along the East - West Economic Corridor and across the region, thereby reaffirming the special friendship, solidarity, comprehensive cooperation, and strategic bond between Vietnam and Laos.
The forum will consist of two main sessions. Accordingly, the first session, titled “Gateway to the Southern and Central Laos Market” will introduce an overview of development potential, competitive advantages, and priority investment projects calling for investors in provinces across southern and central Laos. The session is expected to provide practical information to help investors explore and select cooperation opportunities.
The second session themed “Promoting Cross-border Cooperation” will create a platform for direct dialogue between government authorities and the business community.
Discussions will focus on identifying challenges and bottlenecks in investment, trade and tourism activities between Vietnam and southern and central Laos, while proposing solutions and coordination mechanisms to improve the investment climate and promote effective, sustainable cooperation.
