Suoi Tien: A hidden waterfall paradise for nature lovers
DNO - Nestled deep within the lush forests of the Loc Thuong Village in Que Son Trung Commune, Da Nang, Suoi Tien emerges like a pristine yet enchanting gift of nature, where white waterfalls captivate every visitor.
From the National Highway No.1 at the Huong An Intersection, Xuan Phu Commune, a journey of about 17 kilometers westward along road ĐT611 leads travelers to the gateway of Suoi Tien.
Amid a largely untouched primary forest, 12 waterfalls tumble from heights of several hundred meters, sending foamy white water cascading over moss-covered rock cliffs. Each waterfall possesses its own distinctive shape and rhythm, creating a lively symphony echoing through the vast forest.
Especially at the third waterfall, there is the crystal-clear “Tien Pool”, an ideal stopping point for visitors to bathe, rest, and recharge before continuing their journey to conquer the waterfalls further upstream.
The higher one ventures along the stream, the more spectacular the scenery becomes. Uniquely shaped rock formations stack naturally along the banks, while steep waterfalls unleash torrents of white water, bringing a refreshing chill to the air.
The journey to conquer all 12 waterfalls can follow the stream itself or take the narrow trails along both banks for those who enjoy exploration and adventure. Whether traveling by water or by footpath, every step reveals a new perspective and another glimpse of the site’s wild and mysterious beauty.
Beyond the waterfalls hidden deep in the forest, Suoi Tien also opens up a harmonious ecological space rich in local character right at the foot of the stream. Here, a large natural lake with clear blue water forms a tranquil setting. Its calm surface and cool waters year-round make it an ideal place for visitors to relax and camp.
Encircling Suoi Tien is the peaceful village of Loc Thuong, bordered by expansive fields of the region’s distinctive bitter glutinous rice, Loc Dai. In the distance, rolling green hills dotted with thriving native kumquat trees create a picturesque landscape with strong potential for agricultural tourism experiences.
Suoi Tien has become a familiar destination for travelers and young people who love nature.
Mr. Ngo Van Nhanh, Chairman of the People’s Committee of Que Son Trung Commune, emphasized that “If given synchronized investment, Suoi Tien could become an attractive destination, forming tourism linkages in the region and connecting with popular sites such as Hoi An, My Son, Dai Binh Village, and Hon Kem - Da Dung. This would open up opportunities to develop community-based eco-tourism and contribute to the local socio-economic development”.
